We covered the walls with a water proof very robust microcement using a larger course grain for beautiful movement
As always especially with wetrooms and floors we used our belts and braces system to future proof and minimise the risk of any cracking

This fantastic interior design project really shows how a microcement floor can unify a space.
We were asked to use microcement for the entire floor area, stairs and wet room as part of a refurb for a property in Notting Hill.
It was a quality project, for a few reasons:
⭐️The microcement: mixed and supplied by @forcrete_ top quality microcement, fully waterproof and incredibly durable. Colour mixed to fossil 1 - a beautiful neutral.
⭐️The design: top quality interior design and build, as always, from @blockhousebuild. This lower ground floor is now bright and spacious, a joy to spend time in. And that’s before it’s even been furnished.

Many metres of tadelakt and microcement have slid off these two over ceilings walls and floors….
One of them even gifted me a trip to the hospital after slicing my foot open 😬

What is marmorino and why use it in your interior design project?
⭐️Marmorino is also known as Venetian plaster, with Italian origins dating to the Renaissance period.
⭐️It is traditionally composed of ground marble, slaked lime and finished with natural bees wax.
⭐️It comes in many colours and textures and is a wonderful light-reflecting surface finish.
⭐️The sheen and texture creates an almost marble-like quality and feels very tactile to the touch.
It’s been a joy to use marmorino in the hallway, loft walls and ceilings as part of the @no.17house project , creating a stunning light, bright and unique space.

⭐️Also a great design choice to use tadelakt for the walls and floor-to-ceiling cupboard doors in the dressing room, it looks very elegant.
